Publication design for a quarterly shopping
and dining guide

During my time as a Graphic Designer at my first job, I was proud to be part of the team responsible for redesigning and revamping Singapore Changi Airport's Shopping and Dining Guide. Our team renamed the guidebook as "ENJOY," and I was tasked with leading a small team to produce a lifestyle, informative publication for travellers.

Over a period of 3 years (2007-2010), my role in the project included overseeing every aspect of its development, including the creative and project management aspects:
• planning of the theme and articles with the core team
• scheduling and timeline management
• managing relationships with clients, partners and vendors
• product and wardrobe selection at the stores, casting models
• photo shoot planning, styling and art direction
• conceptualise ideas and executing layout design
• managing colour correction and press checks at printers

This was also the first project where I honed my project management skills. I ensured the project was delivered on time and met the client's expectations. I provided clear communication channels between the team and the client, and delegated tasks and oversee progress to ensure that every aspect of the publication was completed efficiently and effectively.
